What is Buy-to-let?
Property purchased for the sole purpose of being rented out to tenants. Strategy opted for by investors wishing to generate profit by charging more in rent than the outgoing mortgage repayments, before achieving capital gains when selling in the future.

Build-to-rent?

Build-to-rent properties are those that have been specifically designed for renters rather than owner-occupiers. It offers a solution to the rising demand for high-quality rental housing to reflect the needs of today’s renters, with more of a focus on services such as on-site management, amenities, and shared spaces such as work zones, fitness centres, creches, and outdoor space.

It is a popular investment type for institutional and individual investors, and often comes with the option to be fully managed by a management company, sometimes with guaranteed annual yields.
