The New Year Honours List for 2018 has been released, and contains a number of high achievers from across the property industry.
The CEO of the Northern Housing Consortium, Josephine Boaden, has been awarded with a CBE (Commanders of the Order of the British Empire) for her services to housing providers in the north of England in the list, having served in the role since 2010.

Stephen Howlett, former group chief executive of major housing association Peabody, also received a CBE for his services to housing. He stepped down from the role in July after serving at the company since 2004.
He said: “I am hugely honoured to have received this award which I owe first and foremost to my family. I am also indebted to the unique Peabody Trust and the amazing colleagues, board members and partners who have helped and supported me through my career.”
Outstanding contributions
LAR Housing Trust chairman Andrew Robertson was another housing industry professional to be awarded with a CBE, which was given for services to veterans, healthcare and affordable housing in Glasgow and the west of Scotland.
Marc Vlessing, CEO of Pocket Living – a private developer of affordable one-bedroom apartments as “starter homes” in London – has been honoured with an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for services to housing delivery, as has Peter Andrew, deputy chairman of the House Builders Federation, for services to the construction industry.
An MBE was awarded to Nora Dillon for services to affordable housing, credit management and the community in Rutherglen and Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire.
