Brits, housing and Theresa May: Bye, bye Stamp Duty? [Infographic]

It’s been just over four months now since Theresa May became the country’s new Prime Minister, but how much has changed since then when it comes to the UK’s housing market? And how much more would the British public like to change?

WhatHouse joined forces with the voice of the housebuilding industry, Home Builder Federation (HBF), to find out what aspects of housing and planning policy the general public would like the new Prime Minister Theresa May to change. The survey produced over 2,000 responses, with readers being asked to select their priorities for May’s government to focus on from 10 different options.

The study’s findings produced three rather clear results for what the public sees for the housing sector’s future the biggest one being that 61% want stamp duty to be abolished.
