Getting around in Milan

Airport
The two airports of Milan are Aeroporto Milano Linate (LIN), 10 km east of Milan, and Aeroporto Malpensa (MXP), 50 km northwest of Milan.

Travelling from the airport
From Linate, the heart of the city is reached in 20 minutes by taxi (around €15) or bus (n. 73, €1: tickets sold at the Arrivals newsstand). Otherwise from the airport, the STARFLY bus goes to the Central train Station (Tickets are €2.50 and are sold on board).

From Malpensa, it takes 40 minutes to reach the Cadorna station near downtown Milan with the Malpensa Express Train (€9, train leaving Cadorna every half hour from 5.50 am to 8.20 pm and Malpensa every half hour from 6.45 am to 9.45 pm. Malpensa Express Buses are active out of these hours). Alternatively, one can take 75 minutes to reach the Central Train Station with the Malpensa Shuttle Buses (€5, departures every half hour from 5 am to 10 pm). By taxi the fare to the centre of the city from Malpensa is €70.

Getting Around
Taxis, buses, trams and subways are available in the city, although all the attractions are walking distance from Piazza del Duomo.
