Jump on board for property in Greece - 18 March 2009

The credit crunch may have put paid to some of the more ostentatious displays of wealth that were regularly seen in the most fashionable parts of the world over that past decade, but, thanks to one developer, you could soon be posing on your own cruiser by your new property in the Mediterranean.

Barrasford and Bird Worldwide, developers of the Halcyon Hills development on the Greek island of Samos, have announced details of a new offer to buyers of the luxury three-bedroom villas on their development. Purchasers of a fractional share of a three bedroom villa on the Halcyon Hills resort will also receive a fractional share of a Fairline Targa 38 Express cruiser.

Samos is already well-known to the boating fraternity in the Mediterranean, with a new state-of-the-art marina at Pythargorio in operation and the completion of the Halcyon Hills marina scheduled for 2011. Therefore, this offer also makes sense for those wishing to get into the yachting community in Samos, as well as buyers who are just keen to enjoy their time at their property in Greece to the maximum.

Fractional ownership of both property and luxury items such as boats or supercars has been seen as a way of allowing people access to the things they desire without burdening themselves with the substantial running costs.

Robin Barrasford, Managing Director of Barrasford & Bird and a Founding Member of the AIPP comments, “With the new marina at Pythagorio, the Halcyon Hills marina and the newly completed Didim marina on the coast of Turkey, it made sense for us to offer something property buyers in this region would appreciate. Fairline is a well known luxury supplier of fabulous motorboats and the brand certainly emulates the luxury and opulence of Halcyon Hills.”

Halcyon Hills offers buyers of all properties sea views and direct access to a luxury seafront resort on the Mediterranean. Fractional shares of the three-bedroom premier villas starts from £70,000, with owners taking ownership of their fraction of the Fairline cruiser at the same time as they get the keys to their new property in 2011.
