Golf properties up to par - 10 August 2007

As the professionals sweat in temperatures above 100 degrees F at the USPGA golf championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the idea of buying your overseas property on a golf development is becoming more commonplace. This is made easier by the fact that there are now a huge number more golf developments across the world to choose from.

The advantages of buying on a golf development run from the economic to lifestyle and planning for the future. One oft-cited advantage of living on a golf development is the natural surroundings, and the fact that on top of the grounds being perfectly maintained, there is no possibility of having another property built directly in front of yours.

Golf properties are considered to be easier to rent out when you are not using them, partly due to the opportunity to rent to golfers, and partly because golf properties tend to make great locations for families with children. There is more space around the properties on a golf course than might be found elsewhere in some of the busier regions for overseas property, and the villas often come complete with private swimming pools and access to the tennis and spa facilities on the complex.

There are now golf developments available in such a wide range of different locations across the world, that whatever you are looking for, you should be able to find somewhere that fits the bill. From the Gambia to Arizona, there are golf developments springing up right across the globe, ready for you to reduce your handicap!
