Florida listed in CNN's top 10 property price gains - 6 July 2011

Florida has been a very well regarded property market for many investors, both before and since the property market crash. While the stratospheric increases in house prices from the pre-recession days aren't realistic any more, we can still see certain areas which provide good return on investment. Chief among these is Florida, which has been cited by property investment experts as one of the areas expected to recover its value most quickly after the universal property slump.

Within the general region of Florida there are specific areas which are touted to be ahead of the general area's curve for recovery. One of these is Palm Bay which was named by CNN as one of the top 10 areas for property price gains throughout the United States. With the appreciation of property prices being so significant, property investors would expect to see surrounding areas feeling a trickle-down effect.

The timing of the property price upswing means that those people who are looking to invest in property in the near future might find Florida a far more lucrative market than expected. There are many traditionally strong property markets that are likely to be outperformed by Florida in the near future. The nature of the investment will determine whether an investor is best suited to investing in metro areas like Palm Bay, or those areas that surround them. Long term investors for property in Florida would probably see the best returns by investing in areas surrounding metro areas. However, medium term investors could see a better return by investing in metro areas themselves.

What is certain is that property investors are flocking in far greater numbers to Florida now more than at any other time since the property market crash. The stable growth in the area on a myriad of levels has fed investor confidence, helping to introduce a producing cycle of investment and returns within Florida property.
