Direct flights from the UK to Phoenix operate regularly from London, and with six international airports in the state, Arizona is easily reached with just one connection. Once inside Arizona, travel is best carried out by car.

Arizona provides a couple of the most American of tourist attractions, although they are poles apart in their origin. At the same time, the legendary Route 66 passes through Arizona, and is the main east-west street in the town of Flagstaff.
