According to Barbara Jemec, from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), chin reduction surgery is not common but is becoming more so.

Barbara tells host Maggie Philbin that it is a procedure performed to provide more balance to the face. She outlines the procedure, the risks and the recovery period, which lasts 2-3 weeks, and the final results can be seen after three months.

Barbara also reveals how much the procedure costs – from £3700-£5000 and provides tips on finding a good surgeon, which include acting on personal recommendation and researching the credentials of the surgeon. She also defines the most important questions to ask the surgeon.
