Chin implant surgery is used to balance the forehead, middle of the face and the chin so that it looks pleasing and is often chosen by those with a weak or pushed back chin.
Barbara Jemec, a cosmetic surgeon from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) joins Maggie Philbin in the studio to offer her expertise on this particular procedure. She describes the surgery itself, the types of implants used, such as Gore-Tex or silicone and the type of person who would be suitable for this surgery (you would need to have good skin, ample soft tissue cover and no problems to your teeth).
Other necessary information including risks, costs and choosing a surgeon are also covered in this podcast.
