Leg treatments in Christmas stockings? - 21 November 2008

In the continual search for Christmas presents that are a little different and a genuine surprise to the recipient, one specialist in minimally-invasive skincare treatments has seen a huge rise in the sale of gift vouchers for their services. The team at Dr. Newman’s Clinic have seen a threefold increase in the sale of gift vouchers for their treatments specialising on the eradication of red veins from the face and leg areas.

Not only are voucher sales on the rise, but clinic manager Emma Kattan says bookings are up for the clinics in Harley Street, Glasgow and Manchester in the run up to the festive party season.

Dr. Newman uses a minimally-invasive treatment of thermocoagulation to target and reduce the appearance of abnormally-dilated blood vessels – known as thread or spider veins.

Emma Kattan said, “Gift vouchers are selling really well as relatives and friends look to unique gifts which will really make a difference to the recipient.”

Thermocoagulation only takes a couple of minute to complete, although more than one treatment may be necessary to eradicate the thread veins completely.
