New bra does the (boob) job - 22 June 2007

Boob jobs have found new support, in the form of the very first bra specifically designed for women who have had breast augmentation.

Lingerie company Le Mystere has launched the first range of bras specifically designed for women who have had breast augmentation. The patented no.9 range claims to “complement the unique changes in the shape and size that occur after a breast enlargement.”

Traditional bras are designed to support breasts with a natural tear-drop shape. However, the latest trend in implants, favoured by celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, are high-sitting, perfectly round breasts.

The new bra has also found support from cosmetic surgery industry professionals. “Lingerie catering for the unique shape of the augmented breast is great news for women,” says Mr Patrick Mallucci, a registered cosmetic surgeon with the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
