It seems that South London has the potential to rival the North of the city in terms of lifestyle. A wealth of period property, plenty of green spaces and good transport links are all combining to attract buyers. In addition, says Yolande Barnes, the Head of Research at Savills, prices promise to deliver far more for your money than they do in the North.

When you combine these factors with the range of regeneration schemes that are currently planned, it seems that South London is a good bet from an investment point of view too – it’s just a question of deciding between East and West once you are south of the river.
