A breast lift is used to describe a procedure that involves raising a breast that has fallen due to weight, the effects of gravity and/or breast-feeding, or reshaping a flattened breast.

Simon Withey, a cosmetic surgeon from the British Association of Aesthetic Surgeons (BAAPS) joins Maggie Philbin in the studio to provide the essential facts about breast lifts or mastopexy including what happens during the procedure, the recovery time needed, who would be unsuitable for this operation, the risks and the costs.

Tips on how to select a suitable surgeon are also provided, and Simon emphasises that the best course of action is to find a practitioner with a specialist interest in aesthetic breast surgery, and ask them about their experience in this area.
